Cops launch hunt for 6 inmates, rearrest 1 after Rizal jailbreak

Calabarzon (4-A) Regional Police Office identified the six fugitives as Dominique Zabanes, Adrian Demetrio, Angelo Roberto, Murphy Sison, and Benedict Belmonte.

The fugitives are facing carjacking, robbery, and illegal drug cases, the police said, adding that the one who was rearrested is facing illegal drugs case.

An initial police investigation showed that the fugitives sawed off the iron bars in their detention cell and escaped.

According to the report, the jail guard on duty, and the PCP 2 commander have been relived from their posts over the jailbreak. —LBG, GMA News
